Valorización de desechos de la industria agroalimentaria en proteinas funcionales de alto valor añadido y otros ingredientes


Sobre el proyecto

El proyecto GreenProtein es un proyecto europeo cuyos objetivos son la innovación en el campo de la produción de proteinas y la reducción de desperdicios de comida en la UE por medio de la producción de proteinas vegetales (y otros ingredientes) de alto valor nutricional procedentes de deshechos de la industria agroalimentaria.

El objetivo general del proyecto GreenProtein, el cual reune a 7 socios europeos por un periodo de 4 años y medio, es establecer una Planta de Demostración para la extracción y purificación a escala industrial de la proteina funcional RuBisCo. GreenProtein demostrá la viabilidad técnica y económica de la revalorización de «residuos verdes» de la industria agroalimentaria actual.

La Planta de Demostración se configurará de modo que sea un sistema facilmente replicable en toda la UE.
